Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): This is a 7-month period that begins 3 months before the
month you turn 65 and ends 3 months after the month you turn 65.
 General Enrollment Period (GEP): This is a 3-month period that runs from January 15 to
March 31 each year.
 Special Enrollment Period (SEP): You may be eligible for a SEP if you have certain life
changes, such as moving, losing your job, or getting married.

Part A: There is no premium for Part A if you or your spouse worked and paid Medicare
taxes for at least 10 years. If you did not work and pay Medicare taxes, you will have to
pay a premium.
Part B: The premium for Part B is $170.10 per month in 2023.
Part C: The cost of Medicare Advantage plans varies depending on the plan you
choose.
 Part D: The average monthly premium for a standalone Part D prescription drug plan is
$33.02 in 2023.

To get Medicare coverage for
medical equipment, you must first get a prescription from your doctor. Once you have a
prescription, you can contact a Medicare-approved supplier to order the equipment.
